This collection of photos should be entitled “J A Starr”, not “A A Starr”. They are taken from my DVD “The Starr and Ryder families of Menangle”. Copies are in the Camden Library and State Library of N.S.W.

Can you confirm that the ‘tree house’ in mgl36.jpg was actually a slaughterhouse used in the 1940’s and earlier. My grandfather was caretaker at Gilbulla before it was sold to the Anglican Church, and my mother remembers her father slaughtering cattle at the location in the photo.

Very impressive site. Love the history, and makes me proud to live here. One suggestion, is there a way to make the photos bigger.
